Water/Galley Pump system filler cap

1999 Rinker Captiva 272 BR - I know that this seems like a newbie question, and I'll admit that it is.  I've had my 272 for 3 years, but since it's a lake boat, we haven't really used the onboard water/galley pump system at all.  I decided recently that I'd give it a go.  I assumed that the black cap on the port side of the transom was the water cap to fill the tank.  If it is, mine is quite stuck.  Is this this cap?  Or is there another place to fill the water tank.  My boat has both a sink and a hose on the transom.

I would say yes, but first look close at the cap. It should say "WATER" on it.

And it could in fact be stuck. There is a little tool or "key" that can be picked up at just about any marine supply place that fits the two little dimples on the cap and makes it easier to undo. In a pinch a wide blade screwdriver or thin putty knife might work. I generally only tighten mine hand tight, never use the tool to tighten it. It's only water...

It does say "water", which was why I made my assumption that it was the cap.  I also tried a wider screwdiver and that didn't do the trick.  Rather than force it, I figured I'd ask.  I will get the "key" and give that a whirl.  Any idea how many gallons it holds?

Not sure about your 272 but my 2000 FV270 holds 30 gallons. Quite possibly the same.

follow the hose up from the tank to make sure and add some bleach or vinegar,if you never used it chances are its going to be a little stinky
