Hi guys
I Had a new Volvo engine fitted last year Oct 2017 due to old engine block went pourus that was the Volvo 260 GXI
Approx 4 weeeks ago I went out to sea with the the family 2 Adults 2 children drove around for 30 mins then decided to stop for something to eat. When I went to start the boat she wouldn’t turn over.It was just making a clicking noise.
Any fast forward engineer has found water in cylinders 2-3 😬😬
Has anyone out there had this type of problem with this model of boat.
Please can someone shine some light on this issue Please..

    Couple things come to mind.

Blown / defective / improperly installed head gasket.

Exhaust flappers are shot allowing water to backflow into the engine.

    Hi
thanks for your comments the boat engine is coming out on Monday for diagnosis.
They seem to think it could be my fault 😬
ive only used it 3 times with 20 hrs on clock
The boat survey fella said I may have stopped to suddenly and water has gone up into risers.
Obviously they will try and blame me for this ?
    Any ammunition out there

Your exhaust shutters should’ve prevented that if that was the case. With only 20 hours the shutters should be working properly.

    Hi All
the guys who fitted the engine are saying that the risers need raising which is a Manufacture fault?? that’s why water has entered engine,so they are not taking responsibility for their installation of New engine!!
Has anyone out there heard of this please??
