Diesel Fuel Nozzle different on Rinker

A dock friend with the 390 Rinker Diesel had some issues at the fuel dock today. Looks like they recently changed the nozzles on the diesel fuel.  Nozzle has a ring in it now so you can’t put diesel in a gas tank. They must have just made the switch.  Our fuel tanks have  a narrow opening. Since Rinker only made about 11 or so 390 diesels they must not have retrofitted the openings of the fuel tanks from gas to diesel.   I'd be curious if @handyman342 will run into the same issue soon.

Usually the ring around the end signifies a high volume pump. I normally use the low speed pump which has no ring. Hopefully I won't have to fill up again. Both nozzles fit in my fuel fill.

Ummm, boating...not sure you'd understand. 😁

Thanks Al for the comments.  I'm out for ten days with the diesel now and it seems like more places are switching, not sure why.
