Already planning ahead for a Lake Erie trip next year. Thinking of going to Maumee Bay, PIB, Cedar Point, Cleveland and Pele Island. Nothing set in stone yet.
Are there any good spots I'm missing along the way?

Kelley’s Island has Portside Marina, nice marina in downtown Kelley’s Island, The Casino is right next door, Seaway Marina is another nice marina, about 15 minuet walk from downtown
Haven’t been yet, Huron Boat Basin has a nice marina
I need to get the potential group who would be going to chime in.

Middle bass is nice, relaxed. One bar to go to there is Walleyes. I heard it was for sale but i'm sure it will be there next summer and you can see Lonz's. The state park marina is nice. That said Miller Marina is a great place to stay at PIB outside of the chaos and in a protected marina. They have a huge well behind the main bay that does not get the weather that all of the other docks get. During the week its easy to make reservations, facilities are nice, great cook out area. They have a nice website if you want to take a look at Miller as an option.
At Kellys I would highly advise staying at the Seaway because it is protected. Portside really gets rolling in certain wind directions. Kelly's is a 20 min ride from our marina (Bay Point) and we only stay at Seaway, you can make reservations at Seaway now.
We just did Pelee this year for the first time since I was 8 years old and loved it. Bikes are a must. They rent them at Scudder but we took them on the boat. Had a great time riding the island. The winery there is a ton of fun and then there are 2 or 3 bars. If you dont want to do bikes there are Taxi's, the walk from Scudder marina to town is too far, you will want a ride or bikes. There is a bar at Scudder which is a nice place to have a drink before bed. Currency conversion is great, my bill for 2 nights on the 342 was around $100 USD.
If you want to go in to Sandusky Bay there are several marina's. Downtown Sandusky has really come a long way. Great bars and restaurants down on the water now. Good options to stay within walking distance of downtown would be the public marina or Sandusky Yacht club.
