Neither tach is working

Both tachs are out on my new to me 05 243. As are both trim gauges.  I am thinking the trim gauges are OK but the senders are bad.  The boat sat on land for 2 years so I think lack of use did the tachs in.  I have read what a pain they are. I am trying to come up with a game plan.  I will be cleaning the connections Thursday but don't have much hope.  Have any had success having them repaired? I would like to keep the hours readings.

I had mine repaired at fiara beebe 125 bucks each hours stayed correct and there still going now 2nd Season. Try to turn the 4,6,8 adjustment on the back of the tach sometimes that works. Trim gauge you can jump the wires to see if they bounce. Most likely senders.

PITA tachs. lol. I went with twinscan to replace mine. If you have Merc engines you could go with SmartCraft.

I do have Mercruiser 5.7 Horizon's. I may check into the Smartcraft if things go south. Thanks!
