Marina installed wrong new trim rams, hit swim platform!!!

Hi, I just had to new trim rams installed to the tune of $2400. I was raising it once I got back in my slip and motor hits swim platform HARD (2005 Fiesta fee 250 with Volvo DP drive) and takes a silver dollar size chunk out of exhaust. Im going back to marina tomorrow to discuss. I'm trying to find out if anyone know if there is 2 or 3 different lengths of trim ram for the DP....this is the only reason I can think that it hit platform.

I don't know much about Volvo drives, but this sounds more like a failed or mis-adjusted limit switch.

If boat is left in the water, why do you need to trim up the drives?

shallow slip, also need to be able to put drive up to go into shallow area.

I agree LaRea, I think they didn't install the trim limit kit (spacers)!

Definitely didn’t do a test afterwards to see that it went up and down correctly - and limited.
