Reversing the door panel on cockpit fridge

LaReaLaRea Member, Moderator Posts: 7,747 mod
If the door panel on your Waeco cockpit fridge is faded, scratched or yellowed, here's how to flip the panel.  This super-easy mod takes maybe ten minutes.  Instructions are on page 11 of this link:

When my boat was born, the panel had a white pebble finish.  Over time, it became off-white, which looked awkward compared to the other colors nearby.  I took apart the door and found that the inside of the panel is gloss white, which looks much better.

I bought a stainless panel and replaced the off white panel with the stainless. It looks much better, although the stainless does get hot is it sits in direct sunlight.

Nice, when I leave for the week I put a white bed sheet over that area so the helm seat, counter top and both the fridge and ice maker are shielded from direct sun
