Water in spark plugs

Hello,
My engine wouldn't start, making a loud knocking sound...wouldn't turn over. Pulled the spark plugs, had water in all 8 sockets. Have taken off the manifolds/risers to replace them, and will probably replace the water shutters too. Hand cranked the engine a few turns and more water came out of the spark plug sockets. I'm hoping I didn't bend any connecting rods when I hydrolocked. Is there an easy way to check??? Have pulled the dipstick, and oil is not milky. Assuming rods aren't bent, what else do I need to do besides install new Manifolds/Risers and Water shutters? Should I squirt some mystery oil in the spark plug sockets? I'm learning as I go....
Thanks,
Mark

yes, oil in cylinders. isn't going to hurt anything so long as you purge it before rotating it under compression.
compression should be uniform +/- 10% across whole engine.. should be triple digit psi- anything lower indicates issues.. gaskets usually blow before rods bend, cross fingers. the knocking sound is concerning.
