IAC Muffler Replacement

Ordered the above pictured IAC Mufflers for my 2008 350 MAG.  Went to replace yesterday and found original to be roughly twice as long.  Is the intention to put 2 of these parts in to replace original, or have I got the wrong part?

Leave the IAC muffler out. The mechanic that changed my IAC valve and said they go bad because of the muffler getting dirty and plugged.

My thoughts exactly.  Better idea is to regularly change the filter rather than ingesting junk.  There's a filter there for a reason.

So would my 2 little filters stacked together be as good as the longer single one?
