    Hood Hi Goalie, my above comments are regarding the gas 5e that I had in my previous boat, 342 FV. Yes, my current boat is a diesel Koehler genny like yours and I use the same 15w40 in that genny that I use in my mains. 
    Good oil but very hard to find. I bought two five gallon pails early in the spring when it was still available for the fall winterization . But now it is all back ordered.
