I am thinking of winter projects here.  I hate to ask, but I am not at my boat right now; my question is how is the rear bench seat back attached on the 2002 Fiesta Vee 270?

Its molded into the engine hatch on my 2002 27FV. I thought about trying that but couldnt come up with an idea cosmetically good. My wife wouldnt want to. She loves sitting there when we are underway.

Are we talking about the back cushion?  On my 200 it attaches via a hook mechanism and a few snaps.  Or are you talking about the entire structure?

I have a 2004, 270 and have the same question, how do you remove the rear backs to the aft bench seats. Ive tried forcing them up but they dont budge. I was able to remove the forward backs, with no problem.

On the bottom of the seats there should be a couple straps with snaps. Once those are undone, you should be able push up the seat backs...I think!

On my 342 there were bolts in to the rear cushion wood. They screwed in from the transom trunk in to the wood, the wood had metal nuts in them to grip the bolts.

270's don't have the trunk so so way to fasten from the inside. I recently and found and posted the seat opposite the helm comes up and there is storage behind it which was a great find...hoped for a treasure chest but the space is valuable! I looked at the rear and pretty sure the tears will come out the same way..

@eck6652 I have an '06 FV250, not sure it's the same as the 270, but t just so happens I removed mine last week. Reaching the nuts (8mm I think) from the cockpit side through the lazzarette was a real knuckle buster on the large cushion, but I got it done. There was no way to get to the nuts on the small cushion from the cockpit side, but then I realized I could remove the swim platform shower housing and get in from there. Hope this helps.
