Getting the combination to the boat safe?

My wife and I are a survey away from buying a 2005 Rinker 360.  The boat has a combination safe on it, but the present owner doesn't know the combination.  Anyone else run into this?  Does Rinker keep a record of the combinations?

    There should be a little key thing that you can reset it if it is open.  I know I originally bought my boat after it was repoed, so no owner knowing a safe number.  But I was able to go thru the process to create my own.
