Rinker 330 : Engine Hatch slowed down

pistolepistole Member Posts: 158 ✭✭
Recently have noticed that the engine hatch motor has slowed down , ie , less preppy than before. Any help with where I could start looking ? Connection issue ? It still works but takes longer than before. Thanks

Connections and grease. Should be a fitting on the bottom end and some will fully extend the piston, support the hatch, pull the pin, and unscrew the top piece allowing you to grease the upper end of the screw.

Agree, first things first, grease the zerk and see if that solves it. I grease mine a couple of times a year

Try spraying some WD40 on the hinges. Worked great on my 342...

Will the zerk at the motor will only lube the gearbox? It may be better as @Willhound suggested and I have done and unscrew at the top and grease up the worm drive. While there, make sure the piston is well screwed down onto the nut that travels the worm, they can unscrew, especially when over driven over time.
