Interesting. Meant for commercial/high hour users or superyachts. The outboard is 2x the cost of a gas powered version per reviews. Take a load of hours to even get close to a payback on fuel.
30 knots was cruise. Without watching again I forgot what was top speed. I think they said the lower unit was belt driven? They shifted back and forth very fast and no clunk
Wet clutch for shifting. The synchronous belt drive has a lot of plus points, just not as power dense as gears; it is a wear part though. Probably the likes of a Gates Carbon belt. Just keep the belt dry!
