thread lock on anode bolts

Received new anodes from Boatzinz.com/.  Ordered on Monday and arrived on Tuesday.  Great service.  I notice the aftermarket anodes don't have thread lock already on the bolts like OEM Mercs have.  What type of thread lock should I use on the bolts?

I'd use blue loctite or Permatex. Holds well but still removable when time to change.

In 20 years of not using thread lock, I have only had one bolt come loose.  That one was not installed by me, so it might not have been tightened properly.

Yea they can be such a pain to get out that I’ve never used or considered using thread lock on anodes

Skip the threadlock. Proper torque will hold them in place.

Sounds like it’s not all that necessary.  1st time doing this job myself, didn’t want to screw up.  Guess I’ll leave it off.  I’m in the water cleaning the drives about once a week once the water warms up so l’ll make a point of checking on them during the season just to be sure.

    Thanks for the comments.
