Hi all, as you know our faithful poster @handymans342 welcomes us northern boaters an invitation to drop by and say hi when in the area. My wife and I dropped by last Sunday for a second visit while staying in Soflo for a few weeks. Just like our first visit Steve proved to be a great host and went out of his way to provide us with some fresh Mahi Mahi and grouper for dinner.  true class act and feel blessed we were able to meet in person a great man who knows how to make oneself  feel welcome.  Great seeing you and meeting your admiral as well this time. Truly a great family on RBO!

Ya mean there's a soft side under that hard exterior?  Well, that's great that you were able to connect outside of the virtual world.

Yep. That hard exterior makes for some great reading though;)

I have spoken to him many times on the phone and Steve is really a great guy. I know we go back and forth all the time on the forum but its all in fun and never meant to be mean in any way. @halifax212 he told me you were going to visit him and he had nothing but great things to say about you.

Yeah, I met that Steve guy and his wife!  Actually had dinner with them both many many years ago....but for some reason, they wouldn't come back to the boat for drinks!

I'd love to meet up with you in FL, but any time I'm down there I really need to use it to see my old man.  I don't see him enough as it is.  It's too bad he didn't still live in Cape Coral!

Well I'd like to take the opportunity to apologize to @Handymans342 , for a lack of judgement on my part. Awhile back I snapped back pretty hard, and the thread was closed. I guess my BS meter was broken that day!
I'm into RV camping as well. I embrace ALL quality time spent with family away from work B)

Mmmmmmmmm Grouper.  I miss grouper.  We don't see it up here.  I can get Mahi, but not grouper.

And you wouldn't want to. In my opinion Grouper is something that has to be fresh that day, or maaayybe day before to be any good. Doesn't travel well. Or so I've been told by many seafood places in Florida. Maybe they just tell us that, and don't ship it anywhere, so we always have to go back to Florida to enjoy it!
