290ec transom lounge seat won't fold down

I have a 2013 290ec with the transom seat that folds down to form a lounge area. You can see an example of it here: http://www.boattest.com/images-gallery/photos/rinker_290ec_sternseating.jpg

It folds down by holding a latch on the bottom and pushing it down to fold back flat. Well, it no longer is willing to fold. Something must be wrong with the mechanism.

Has anyone dealt with this problem before and can shed some light on a fix?

    When I first got my 242 the helm seat didn’t want to fold down. I sprayed the tracks down with some WD-40, all good after that. I don’t know how your transom seat works but It might just need to be lubed.

    Is there something blocking the folding in the seat storage area?
