This is still my favorite polish/wax combo

It’s the time of year when a lot of people are asking what products are best to shine up their boat and I thought I’d share mine. I’ll start by saying that I used to be in the high end detailing business. I have a fair amount of experience doing paint corrections on high end exotic cars, so I’ve had the opportunity to use a lot of products over the years.
Ive still got some cleanup to do on this, but I hurt my back this morning and just had to stop because I couldn’t bend over anymore. This is a 2003 that has been kept outside most of its life. I just recently rented the storage slip it’s in now.
After a quick quick wash I went over it with 3M Finesse It II glaze, using a rotary with a foam pad. After that I topped it with Collenite 885. I’ve tried the more expensive stuff and I’m always happier with this combo. The Collenite wax will last a full season of boating and still look the same.
Thats just my $.02.
