Year of the pumps

First I had my air conditioning pump go out...now my aft bilge pump is not working.

Any tips when replacing?  It's a rule 1100 with external switch.  Should I replace the switch too?

If I hit the helm switch the forward bilge pump is running...the aft pump nothing.  Am I safe to think the pump is probably done for?

Possibly - another fuse/CB in in line with each one and it’s blown/popped? Try tripping it with the float.

It appears my model pump is no longer available Rule 1100 27D I think it is.  How are the bases of these pumps installed to the boat fiberglass?  If I by a different pump that doesn't fit the existing strainer is it hard to remove the old and replace the new?

There's a mounting plate glassed in on top of the hull.  The screws go into the plate without touching the structural part of the hull.  Just make sure you don't drill too deep if you need a new screw hole.

@LaRea - I hope that is the case.  That will make things easy.

Looking at this I suggest the Rule replacement may just snap in place. If not it's 2-3 screws into the plate as @LaRea said. I replaced one an the prior boat and it swapped over easy.
