I found the breaker and yes, it was switched off. It is now producing electricity. However, the gen set only runs for about 10 minutes and shuts down. I replaced the spark plugs today and that didn't fix it. Any ideas?
Is it running out of fuel? Is it possible there’s a clog in the fuel line, it uses up the fuel after the clog then shuts down? Then the fuel seeps past giving you another 10 minutes of run time till it uses it up? Also check the fuel filter. Just shooting in the dark, hopefully it helps.
Agree with black diamond to check other posts on the site, use the search function. Lots of other posts about Kohler 5e running for 10 min and shutting down. Believe this issue is usually tied to overheat; bad impeller or coupler, clogged water filter, or air in the coolant.
