USA Road Trip Holiday

Guys

Thinking of a 3 week holiday in the US,Fly into Las Vegas spend a few days there then onto LA travel up the coast to San Fran,Cruise over or Fly to Hawaii. What's the weather like on the mainland.

Or any other ideas on best routes

    Wow, interesting choices- really just depends on what your look for. Never been to any of these places but certainly none of these represent "USA" places, more great places to party which is good also. Get a travel agent, for the money this trip will cost you will want to get your monies worth!

    Hawaii is awesome but not a traditional USA place.  The big cities won't get you that traditional USA experience in my opinion, but people are drawn to them.

    Hit up LA, Chicago and New York.  You will have seen the largest cities in the country.

    We like beach,cities breaks what about lakes that I could hire a boat out ?

    taza, it's pretty warm everywhere in the country this time of year.  As far as beaches to relax and enjoy warm water, that is the east coast or gulf.  Water is a bit chilly on the west coast.  There are fantastic lakes everywhere in the country, and a lot of them have boats for rent.  It is very difficult to tell you one place to visit when there are so many great places to go.

    If you want someplace with weather like home, visit Seattle and the amazing San Juan Islands region.  But if you want something completely different, you want southern California.  Think Coronado Beach. Rent a boat and tool around San Diego Bay.  Then maybe take a drive up the Pacific Coast Highway.

    Don't know much about the west coast, been to Maui twice, and once to the big Island, go to Maui, It is sweet,  Not Hawaii .Made one trip to Vegas, not for me, to many fruit loops. when't to Seattle a couple times it's cool. By the way it's Hot here. check out Vegas.

    Must see places in So. Cal. are San Diego (stay in La Jolla), Laguna Beach/Orange County (stay at the Montage in Laguna). Queen Mary in Long Beach, L.A./Santa Monica/Malibu, and Santa Barbara. Palm Springs is worth a side trip if you can stand the heat. (Take the palms to pines aerial tram up Mt. San Jacinto.)

    Santa Monica is the British expat capital of L.A., so you'll feel at home. Stay at Shutters hotel and eat at the King's Head Pub. Best fish & chips in the world.
