fuel filters on 342 with 5.7's

When people refer to changing the fuel filter on a Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI are they referring to the fuel water separator, or are there other fuel filters?   If there are, where are they?  Are there any in the lines that run from the tanks to the engine?

    It depends on the year and setup. Mine is an 05 and I have cool fuel gen 3 there are 2 filters in the module. My 02 270 had a spin on type in line.

    Look's like you have the older style to what @reneechris14 is talking about.

    I have the same setup.  There is a water separating filter on the starboard side that looks like an oil filter.  Then there will be an inline fuel filter on the fuel hose probably seen in front of the engines somewhere.

    My 2005 does not have those. I have the filter/separator mounted on the engine only.
    No longer a boat owner.....previous boat - 2005 Rinker Fiesta Vee 342

    Alswagg - Do you have a generic or AC Delco (or other) part number?  The auto parts store is full of near matches, but I don't have the dimensions.  Access to part this weekened, but not here

    There is a company in Lee's Summit, MO that has this in Sierra brand. 18-7721. I change this yearly with the fuel water separator filter.
