Cant' Find Breakers

raybo3raybo3 Administrator Posts: 5,618 admin
A buddy of mine has a 1999 242 FV. His windless and head have stopped working but he can not find the breakers for the 2. I have not had a chance to look at it for him. Any know where the breaker are for these? Thanks!

I have pop outs in the battery switch box. Different model but may be similar placement.

I told him to check the battery switch box and he said there were no breakers in there.....

He has to have a main panel or they are at the dash.

Handy he has a small panel in the cabin and push to reset at the dash. But there has to be a main for the windlass some place.

On my 2000 270 the windlass disconnect is right by the switch on the combing beside the dash. Push the red button and the little arm drops down. Push the arm back up and it reconnects. Occasionally it looks ok but dead switch. Push the button and reset the arm and it works. Age I suspect.

Yes I also have the same and true - if not pushed home fully it looks right but nothing.

My guess the windless & electric head would be an aftermarket option. I could be wrong, I don’t think the 242 had those options.
