Has anyone added a better handle to a 342 cabin door?

The tiny little indentation in the door gets annoying after a while.

I'm thinking of attaching an "L" shape (cross section) SS handle.   I'd have to drill through the door which scares me a bit

Any thoughts? Pictures?

Thanks

That would be a great mod.  I've never seen it done.  Post details if you find something!

Wouldn't it keep the door from sliding all the way in?

Drives me nuts now the handle slides itself out a little sometimes.

Make sure to do a full backing plate, not just washers. That door, IF you could even find one, is well over $1k. The plate will help prevent cracking.
