I see that the boat is from Crofton, which is just a couple miles from me. I'm betting it was originally purchased at my marina, which used to be a Rinker dealer.

I think you did just fine on the buy. An 03 freshwater goes for 60-65k here so your 02 salt boat would probably be a 50-55k boat as long as the drives are not Volvo plastic. The $40k deals out there seem to all be Volvo plastic drives that must be replaced.

Very nice! My 280 was originally in brackish water. I have her in fresh water now. I had to replace one exhaust manifold that had a small crack in it. Other than that, I haven’t had any residual salty problems.

Nice looking boat. We just bought a 2003 342. love it so far. Thought I got a good deal at 50k but your deal seems to be a bit better. Enjoy.

Very nice.  We use our 342 like a floating RV.  Great for longer trips.

    Enjoy!

Sore?  Our V-berth is still firm, which is good considering it's a 2002.  The only trick (for us and the dog) is getting into and out of it.  Need some kind of cool folding step or something. (hint hint to our resident maker of cool boat things)

The "step" for the V-birth is built in on the S/B side in front of the short closet.

Yes there is a step there but it's a bit awkward.  I was thinking something that could flip down in the front.  I doubt there is a feasible way to do that, but it would sure make it easier to get up and down from the V-berth.
