Maintenance Message

Is anyone else seeing a Maintenance message when you bring the forum up on your phone or ipad?? I can only see the forum on a desk top.

    Strange, at one point the other day I did see the message on the desk top also.

    They may have been playing, for a moment yesterday I think I saw some other weird style sheet/layout and then reverted.

    Vanilla is always doing upgrades and updates. You have no idea how much spam hits this site. I have to clean spam logs and change logs every day. I get e-mails almost every day from Vanilla for maint reasons. Long story short, I dont know why its changed but as long as we dont lose the site who cares. Many members on this forum lived through the loss of the old RBO. We still have not gained all the lost members.

    How do you get out of the Mobil version and back to the full site? I don’t see an option like the old version had.

    Would prefer the old one too, this takes up too much of my screen, fine layout just a waste of space

    Do any of you guys on the mobil site see how to get the full site back? The old layout had an option at the bottom. Hopefully this is just a temporary layout during some maintenance.

    When y'all want a new site let me know. Can even import the posts from vanilla into my engine - won't lose a thing.  Two maybe three days heads up is all that's needed.  @raybo3, I hope you're making daily DB backups and storing them locally .

    https://www.cfb51.com/ is one i'll share.  college football, which is another passion.  I collected up the crowd after CFN/Scout was bought out of bankruptcy by CBS-24/7... they are extremely intrusive- much worse than vanilla.  it's the intrusive thing that causes me pause- so... i use SMF as the engine, and customize it accordingly.  they have about the most solid and secure system available for this kind of operation. 

    the engine is one thing- the presentation is a total 'nother thing.  i designed cfb51 to somewhat resemble our old home before it was taken offline for good (July '17)... even the name pays homage to the old section of the old forum we all started with somewhere circa 1997 (i joined it somewhere around '04 while sitting in the desert jones'ing for college football and finding it).

    After using the new mobile site the last few days I'd say I guess I can live with it. It is a little more streamlined looking. The composing window is weird though. Looks all double spaces until you post it.
