Smartcraft - 2007 246 Rinker Captiva

Sorry everyone, another Smartcraft thread. 350 Mag 2007, is my boat Smartcraft ready? I’ve read all the threads and can’t seem to find a good DIY on how to install the SC-1000. Even if it needs additional wiring and junction box, just looking for info specific to my boat.  My Faria tach is passed the tap point of return, and my trim gauge is also unresponsive. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

    All Merc engines after mid-2002 are SmartCraft-ready.  For reasons nobody can understand, Merc refuses to publish DIY information or even basic technical data on their engine data systems.  However, if you call them and speak to a human, they have pretty good tech support and can advise you on parts and wiring.
