Raw water pump bracket stud

When I removed both port and starboard pumps, both studs came out while attempting to remove the nut. Does anyone know if these go into the water jacket of the block? If yes, I’ll make sure I put some sealant on them during install.

    They are just threaded in to the block. With the stud coming out makes it easier to get the pump out.  You already  have the fuel module off but when its on the tap hits it on the left side. I used a 10mm racket wrench and remove the pump from the housing, leave the hoses and housing there.

    When reinstalling I did the double nut thing to set the stud back in, this was not easy.

    Thanks guys. @reneechris14 that’s good info for next time I have replace the impellers, will be much easier. I wanted to get the brackets out so I can get them sand blasted and powder coated.
