Is there an app I assume. It may not support 8.1 since Android is on version 10

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app that runs it. Or see if theres an update.

I have similar but with iPhone and uses BT or WiFi. You sure it actually plugs in to use, the USB connector is normally to charge it? I have a few of them and I lent one to a friend and on Android it was different to get going in the app. What ‘s the model and make @rasbury?

PC will power it over USB.  You'll need software for it though

There should be a specific phone app for that camera. My phone recognizes thr camera but I have to use the app to view anything.

I have one for my phone and the low light optics are not very good..even with the built in flashlight.

I have the app but the phone does not recognize the camera...this camera has an adjustable light and gets pretty bright..takes video or stills through the app...just got to get it working! I'm ready to upgrade my phone anyway...I have had the cheapy 50 buck phones as they typically do what I need ...but I need one I can control more by voice while driving.

Ras I have one of those and along with using the app on the phone to use the camera I also have to go in to my WiFi and the camera should be discoverable in the phones WiFi and I then link the phone to the camera in the WiFi. Mine is wireless, only plug is to charge.

Pretty sure the one Ras has, like I have is a $20 Amazon cheapy that runs off the phone's power. @rasbury also check the settings on the phone and the permissions for the app, you may have to set it to allow the app to access the phone's pictures etc. It won't really but may be needed to set that way to work.
