New windlass

I need to buy a new windlass for my Fiesta Vee 250.  Any recommendations?  I had a horizon 600 series and the motor is bad.  Thanks in advance

    Lewmar 700 or 1000 Pro series should be a direct replacement. A few on here have done it and can likely comment.

    The 700 seems to be the direct replacement. 

    Did you figure out how to get your old one out?

    Just know if you upgrade to the 1000 you will need to totally rewire due to the amperage draw.  Just the wire can be a few hundred dollars. 

     700 is a drop in. 

    Just my .02 but a 1000 is total overkill for a 250.  I have the 700 on my 342.

    @Ravens1274 What did you do with your old one? I have someone that has the motor that works, but the gypsy is stripped.
