Removing old wax buildup

So I've got all the vinyl & adhesive removed from my boat, but now I've got two lines of wax buildup from the edges of the stickers. I've tried an orbital with wax, and it will take FOREVER. Dawn dish soap didnt really touch it. I diluted some degreaser with dawn and it was a little better, but still took a ton of elbow grease to get small progress.

Any suggestions so I can get this done without killing my arms or creating more wear on the gelcoat that I'll have to polish out?

    floor wax tripper, lowes and home depot sell it as well as most independent hardware stores

    Have you tried the mcguires degreaser I have great results with it but I can only find it on line

    @rmfriday joe just got married now your telling him to go get a stripper omg. A buffer with a wool pad and presti polish compound will smooth things out.

    Man how things have changed, couple years ago if stripper and my boat came up in the same conversation it would have been a completely different context. :D:D

    Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm gonna try clay bar first and see if that works. The whole hull needs it anyways, so not a bad idea.
