I just bought a 2006 Rinker 342 used boat and also finished the oil change, Fuel Filter change and Oil filter change service. I have two issues now.
1.  port engine,  I have to give a little bit gas when engine is cold and the RPM is 500 around in the first 10 mins.  I have to hold the throttle a little bit like more than 30 sec during the starting process otherwise the engine idle RPM will dropping to 0 then shut down.  It will stay at 600 around after the water temperature is raised to 170. When the RPM is 500, I can hear the Whistling sound from engine. but the RPM goes to 600 or 700 then the sound is gone.

2. Starboard engine,  I have to give a little bit gas when the engine is hot, the cold engine no problem.  When engine is cold, The RPM started at 1000 then drop down to 700 after water temp reaching to 170.

Both engine will be synced after water temp at 170 for each.

Anyone has any ideas on this? should I do something or just leave it as it.

Did you change both fuel filters on each engine? You likely had a small inline filter before the main spin on filter. Next step change plugs, cap and rotor. Clean flame arrestor.

I did change both fuel filters and also spark plugs for both engines. I will try to change cap and rotor as well as Plug Wires.

IAC filter or ideal control has carbon build up take it of and give it a shot of carb clean.

Just in case this is still an issue, I found that in 2010 a service bulletin was put out for removal of the fuel filter inside of the fuel pressure regulator.  There is a $3 kit that has an “e” clip to replace the filter. This will remove the fuel back pressure in the fuel rails and prevent the engine from stalling due to running too rich at idle.

@ImOnaBoat Here is a thread where I describe my replacement of the filter on the fuel pressure regulator with the clip.
A lot of problems were caused with V-P fuel delivery because the factory painted the inside of the fuel pumps. The paint comes off and causes at the very least a whine from the pump, worst case starting and running issues. For all Volvo-Penta fuel issues a good guy to talk to is Troy at www.ManCaveMechanic.com
