I really want one of those older sea doo jet boats!!
I don’t disagree with those that say the best jet boats are the newer Yamaha 4 Strokes..... but this 1996 sea doo challenger 800 is the best $2800 that I spent in 2018. Tons of fun, runs great, easy to maintain, and the admiral is in heaven as it’s her boat and she runs it. At less than 15’ long its easy to tuck in a dock for the weekend. The only down is that it’s really a 2-3 person boat and while the 110hp is fine, 150hp would be awesome. Barely can get the admiral up on a slalom ski but she does it...

It’s exactly what I want to pick up next season for towing my little guy on a tube. I only have two friends anyway!

Do you keep it at the marina or...? I was thinking of leaving it at the marina on the trailer and just dumping it in as needed.

We keep it on its trailer at our marina for $500 for the season. There is a ramp at the marina so we just toss it in when we need it, super easy. We tube our nieces a lot, they love it. I started watching craigslist in November and this popped up in early March so we nabbed it.

Dumb a$$ question, I've been boating for 30 + years, but didn't have a pet until now. Our "Charley" is a Boston Terrier, nice guy, but very spoiled. How the heck do you teach your dogs where to go relieve themselves? We have been trying to teach Charley, but he refuses to go in the swim platform and we spend a lot of time on the hook away from shore. Any tips?

We were using the kayak to bring her to shore. My wife bought this mat, I did cut it down a little but works great.

Thanks! I heard about the mat, but we tried it and our guy won't go lol. He wants to go to shore. I guess we have to keep trying.

@bert_florida I've heard that with mats, the secret is to get some scent on the mat.  Get a dog to pee on it ... doesn't have to be your dog.  Then your dog will want to leave "pee-mail."

hahahaha. Need to find a dog to pee on the mat, wash it, then bring it with us. He'll smell it no matter how much we wash it.

If your dog has a favourite spot to pee in the yard just put the mat there and let him do it. If it was my Lab I could just toss it in the yard and he'd pee on it just because it was there!

Hi, my name is Mr. Slow-To-Catch-On.  I only just now realized that "Morkie" means Maltese Yorkie.

Yeah, when his coat is a bit thicker, he almost looks exactly like her. He had a haircut soon before that photo.

Pic not on a Rinker but a dog pool in the back yard last weekend.
Our little 10 yr old buddy Fender almost got smoked on Friday 13th of Aug.
Went down to a buddies cottage on Stag Island Ontario for the afternoon.
Rode on a JD Gator to get to my buddies place. Dog leash fell out of my wife's hand and yanked Fender under the back tire. Ran him right over. Instantly.
Awful trip back to the mainland on the ferry carrying him. (our daughter is the ferry driver for the summer at Stag)
Two weeks later & vet visits he's a lot better. Just a faint limp now. It was brutal & totally preventable. Whew!
