thru hull drain holes

I have a 2001 fiesta vee . there are four thru hull drain holes on the starboard side near the head , what are they for and how do I access them . One of the covers is missing and I need to replace it , is there a hose on the inside that has to be attached . there are two 1/2 holes and two 3/4 in holes . One of the 1/2 inch holes cover is missing . Will this allow water to get into the boat or back up into the boat . Any help will be appreciated

You definately need to fix!! Depending on the location you might need to take out drawers, frig, etc to get access.

Yes, if you unscrew the cabinet under the sink and take it out you have access.

took cabinet out , can see the holes but cannot reach them , there has to be  another access . they are about feet from  under the sink and very narrow opening

I forget what mine looked like when I had it open. Are you saying the cabinet opening is too narrow or another opening when the cabinet is out? If it's another opening other than the cabinet can you make it bigger? Maybe with a jig saw?
