    Beware the engines in a Bluewater are in the middle of the boat. If they have to be removed.............

    I once met a vet in Florida who bought a nice 45' boat and I observed it, then he invited me in to have a look around. I asked him how it was docking a boat that size ... he was like "never done that ... I don't even know if the engines work" ... he bought the boat just to live on ... it was cheaper than renting a house, and the dock came with water and electricity ... plus no property tax ... I was like gotcha!

    Beware any listing that doesn't show the mechanical spaces.  Also beware any yacht that is offered for $500/foot!  It's like the old saying, there is no more expensive car than a cheap Mercedes.

    Trying to sell your boat originally for 45k and all you can do is drive up and take a photo from your car🤔. Seems very odd, probably trying to sell the exes boat 😃

    Looking for a 40ftish boat that isn't going to be a freakin nightmare like mine has been...

    It really doesn't have to move. The plan is to buy a small something with an outboard and use that for fun.

    Going to be "living aboard" this weekend during a tropical storm. Fun times. current forecast is for 60 mph winds.. I'm in a semi hurricane hole, but it could get interesting.

    Here's another consideration:  noisy wave slap keeping you awake at night.  There's usually less wave slap with a mid or aft cabin than a v-berth.

    This couple bought a pre owned Nordhavn and recorded some of their training voyage. Maybe I am naive but it seemed like a lot of work and not much pleasure.

    Lots of big cheap house boats in upstate sc.  Portman marina had a big fire a few years back and some of the bigger marinas all changed their policies to make older house boat owners leave.  Lots of them were being sold or sometimes given away that had not ran in decades.  One was abandoned in a cove down from my parents place before a scraper haulded her off. 



    With a double decker house boat in the lakes you usually have a slide.  At a marina in the keys it would be a suislide....the size of the bull sharks that feed off scraps from fillet fish, the removal of the slide would be my first mod.    Id keep the jet ski lifts on the back!

    Roomy.  Standup fridge is nice.  Carver was making pretty good boats in those days.

    One of our dockmates has a similar Carver. He loves it but said the only drawback is getting caught in a crosswind while docking, then it's a bear and that's when he wished he had a lower profile.

    That's a nice boat, but it is a lot of steps for loading stuff into the cabin or going from platform to cabin.  Also, no space to sit at water level if you raftup.  Depends on how you'd use the boat.  You may want to look at Silvertons as well if you luke that style.
