DIY marine diedel generator (diesel engines only)

Saftey disclosure NOT IGNITION PROTECTED!!!
This idea is for diesel powered or electric power boats only.
My dealer cost on this 15 hp kohler is about 3900
Has different pto options available for different geneator unit hook ups. It's liquid cooled. A belt driven raw water pump should be an easy mod along with a small heat exchanger. Cooling fan would be removed. Big issue is water jacketed exhaust. Im making that call today.
Im thinking belt driven 6000 watt geneator, 110v. 220 is an option but I dont have a 220 AC unit so not needed.
If the generator side dies, toss it and put in a new one. Same with the electric control panel (voltage regulator etc)
