Can you install through hull exhaust on a 1996 Rinker 232 Captiva? I do not know how much room you need or is it just  impossible?

Yes, it can be done. The exit out the side of the boat. Corsa made the system.

If awesome means it will be horribly loud and people will look at you with the hope that you move away from them as fast as possible and don’t come back, then yea it will sound awesome.

Agreed. I can only tolerate the thru hull mode for short periods. I think it means we are old now.  :)

Can’t see the point of having everyone look at you as you make noise. Like those clowns in their “hotter” up Civics and Imprezas with the stupid exhausts.

Riverrat, at 40 I am already old and crotchety when it comes to loud boats lol! 😂 Agree iacoultha, I think people in loud boats think that we stare with envy when it’s really a wish that they pass fast.

The only thing more annoying than a super loud GO-fast boat, is a slow boat, that is just as loud  :D

Sorry @TDS we do tend to go off on a tangent every now and then.  Did we actually answer your question?  I'd say open pipes won't buy you much performance unless the engine is tuned for it.

But hey, what's wrong with wanting a Rinker sound like this:

I’ll have to admit I have the loud Harley just so I am heard. Most drivers don’t see you, May as well be loud.

When it comes to reducing motorcycle accidents, sobriety and driver training/experience are much more effective than loud pipes.  But this is probably the safest bike ever:

I like how he tries to dump the clutch for a glorious burnout, but with so much weight on the back tire, he can't get it to spin and almost stalls out trying.

@TDS do you wish you hadn't asked this question?   :)

True but you’ll never get the car driving only population to agree. After the motorcycle courses I am a more aware as a driver as well as aware from being on the receiving end as a rider. I can sit at the lights and see that the driver over the other side waiting to turn left is looking right through me - with clutch, brakes and horn ready..

Yes, well, your ongoing presence here on the Rinker forum demonstrates that you're not the sort of biker who creates motorcycle crash statistics.  That's a different demographic:  younger, dumber, less willing to get training or wear safety helmets.  It's the same demographic of people that die while boating.

Thank you and you are right, mostly it’s those that feel it’s important to lay along a bike so when they hit something they can spear head first onto the pavement or another hard object. But there are some older farts out there that think 1/2 dozen beers at the first stop of a charity ride is the right way to start the day out. They are the ones I look for their bikes and get back out after they’ve left. Rather come across them in the ditch than have them pushing me along.

You can get a free loud exhaust system here in California. Just park your car on the street long enough and your catalytic converter will be stolen. Yep, believe it or not that's a big problem around this neck of the woods at the moment. Andy.
