Captain's Chair

Hi Group,

Physio going well for October's shoulder surgery - will be going out to the storage barn in about two weeks to start work on the boat projects I've got planned.  Thanks again for all the advice.

So....the base of the captain's chair has a couple of screws that seem to be stripped.  I may replace the existing pedestal for a taller one (I'm a short a$$!).  Not sure what I am going to find under the base.  Are these typically just screwed into the floor?  If that is the case, I may just rotate the base slightly and drill new holes for the screws.
Anyone have experience with this project and have some advice?

Thanks

I don't have first hand experience.  I would use stainless steel toggle bolts.
