342 FV TV cabinet bar conversion.

With all the went wrong with boat projects last weekend, one went right. Made a bar to go into the cabinet that had the original TV in it. I utilized the slide out rack. I added a small LED strip light to it with a hidden switch.

Mojo, that looks great!  Thanks for sharing the pictures!  I like the LED idea, & could see someone taking it one step further using LEDs that change color and have the remote.  Or even putting them around the inside of the box to light up the bottles.  Definitely a great idea and love the use of something that is already there! :)

@Dream_Inn. I used the warm white lights because I had them left from a project at home. I thought about lighting the box and the bottles but this was easy. I had everything already just had to make the mount for the switch and I used the 12v from the 12v outlet that was already there.

I just finished my TV/bar project in my 342! I installed a new TV/DVD on the opposite side of the cabin original TV cabinet on a swivel arm so you can see it from the V-Berth and the table. It tucks completely away and the swivel locks. Then I built a bar cabinet with LED lights and put it in the original TV cabinet. The LEDs are remote control and change colors. I also put in some new stairs. Very happy with the results!

Nice work!  Is the box attached, or just free-standing inside the cabinet?

I first sat it on the TV swivel but I didn't like the look so I screwed it down in the cabinet. It is not going anywhere. I also put some dividers between the bottles and lined each compartment with a felt.

The boat is in Lindenhurst. See you in Kismet, Watch Hill, Oakdale, or Hemlock. Looks like I'm gonna need a bigger bar!

With that lighting you need a stripper pole!
