I have ordered the Mercury Steering Sensor Kit for my bravo Drives but I do not see an option to display the drive position on VVM or does it come up once connected. The VVM does give a warning that the steering sensor is not connected.

I called Mercruiser and I was told that the VVM would not display rudder (drive) angle and would need to upgrade to VV. I asked if I could connect a cable to the junction box and a Smartcraft rudder angle gauge and was told no.  The rep didn't come across to me as having all the answers but I will put this on hold and contact some other people in the industry. Thanks for the input everyone.

I don’t have the sensor kit and I don’t recall that being one of the options to display on the screen.  But I do know they periodically upgrade the software.  And the fact that it’s warning the sensor is not connected could be a positive.  Seems like a lot doesn’t show until everything’s connected and turned on.

How do you plan on connecting this to VVM?  Assuming you're using the Merc recommended set up for twin engines.

The steering sensor wires into the engine harness. It’s prewired.

Yes it plugs into the engine harness and the VVM will sense it but I don't know if it will display position. I'll call Mercruiser  and find out what my options are. I'm not opening the box until I know I can  use it.

Please keep us updated.  If this work, I would be willing to do the same thing.

That might be too much for the Vv Mobile, per last time I used it.  The VV 903 has the capability I know.
