Distributor for Volvo Penta 5.7

I’m looking to replace both distributors on my Volvo penta 5.7 because the screw holes just crumbled. I’m seeing prices for 700-1000 dollars. I do see aftermarket prices of 125 dollars. Do I really need to spend a 1000 dollars on 1 distributor? Any recommendations?

    Dorman makes a kit or plate to go under the screw holes to repair the dizzy. No need to replace the unit.

    This should just be a GM product you can buy from a reputable auto parts store. Without knowing your specific engine I have no links to give.

    Call Michigan motorz, at one time they sold a distributor for GM with electronic timing advance.  It was not GM but a high quality aftermarket dizzy that, if memory serves me correctly, was built better than oem from a longitivity standpoint.  

    Those guys specialise in marine motors, new and remanufactured.  If they sell it with a warranty its probably pretty good.  

    Just looked at their site, didn't look hard but only saw oem Delco.  Price was all sub 400.  They have volvo Penta part numbers listed in the info section.
