AC power question

Helping out my neighbor on his 2006 Sea Ray 290. We have 120V at the panel, the microwave and fridge work on shore power and generator. There are 4 other outlets on the boat that have no power to them. I was hoping one of them had a GFI but none of them do. What am I missing, it has to be something simple!!

On my friends SR 340 and 400 both have an additional electrical panel in the engine room. Does the 290?

It does have a breaker panel in the engine room, nothing was tripped. I looked at it quick and thought it was 12 volt. I’ll have to look again next time I’m there.

Has to be a GFI somewhere you are missing

That’s what I’m thinking, it’s driving me nuts! Now I’m going to be losing sleep and it’s not even my boat!! LoL!

It will have a GFI, all SeaRays do. Sometimes difficult to find, check the head sometimes in a cabinet. also check the aft cockpit/deck area for a plug because it's a wet area a GFI is required.

The head has a plug in the upper cabinet but no GFI

My gfi is by the sink.  Somehow when shore power is off for a while it switches itself off automaticly.  When it does I have no outlet power.  Maybe I'm hitting it while cleaning?   Had to hit the button last week when doing an all systems test.

I had a SeaRay 440 that I looked after and had the same problem, eventually found it in a locker on the aft deck

@rasbury , I tried! In this market it’s tough to find anything decent 28-31 with a generator. We looked at a Rinker 320 but felt it wasn’t the right boat.

The manual says there’s a GFI in the cabin but doesn’t give a location. Crazy that they would make it so hard to find!
