Found the source of my mysterious Oil leak on Bravo 3

So this has bothered me since the end of 2019.  Last Spring, I had my mechanic replace the oil remote reservoir, thinking that was the source of my slow oil leak.  Well.....long story short, my leak remained.  I had completely SCOURED the bilge clean, trying to pinpoint where the oil was coming from, to no avail.  
Well, my boat is in for Spring service right now, and I had them pressure test the drive, to try to find the leak.  Well.....it's BOAT BUCKS time.  It is the prop shaft seal.  He said it's pretty much toast, and was surprised I wasn't leaking more oil.  I've had a pretty good run of maintenance on this boat, so I can't complain too bad.  Of course the Admiral feels a little differently haha.  She thinks boats run forever.....I think she suffers from memory loss  :D

    The shaft seal is common to have replaced. Hopefully your prop shaft isn’t grooved from the seal to the point it needs to be replaced also.....

    Prop shaft was fine.  Dodged a bullet there sounds like...

    Sounds like just a common maintenance item.  Not bad at all & you should feel lucky.

    Yep, pretty lucky!  I got outta there with $1400 including the whole spring service & impellor.  A new Bravo3 is over $8k I'd guess

    Yep, at a minimum.  I've had 3 different B2 drives changed over the last 8 years or so.  Not a cheap thing to do.
