Did you look into the seller? Hopefully you don't end up with some garbage stainless or a plated steel anchor.

I offered $250.00 and he accepted it. Here’s a link to the seller if anyone is interested.

I actually think my original anchor is lighter and holds with no issues.

We added the mantus swivel last season.  Verdict is still out on whether it reduced twisting, but it did add another spot that tends to collect weeds when pulling up.  We often anchor in weedy area.  It is well engineered though.
    @Spyderweb
If I remember correctly you got a Mantus M1 anchor last year, how’d it perform?

I think mine is 22# as well but if I was spending the money I would want one size larger (whatever that is). I believe @Spyderweb went 35#.

@YYZRC , that’s the thing. I didn’t want to spend the money on one. A new 35# would be $820 on Amazon.

@YYZRC Yes, ours is a 35#.  It was a Xmas gift from our kids.  It's a bit overkill.  If I was choosing, I think I would have gone with the 25.  Wasn't worth the hassle to return and swap.

@mattie, yes we got the M1. Very pleased with its holding power.  As a bonus, with the roll bar, when bringing the anchor up after being in weeds, if you grab it with the boat hook and lift a little, it's balanced such that the flukes then point down, making it much easier to shed the weeds.

What’s the difference between a “delta” and a “DTX” anchor?

@YYZRC , I’m not 100% but I think the Delta is galvanized and the DTX is polished stainless.

I received my new stainless anchor today 😎. Very happy with it. It has one little ding on it, but can’t complain for the price! I’m sure I will put many more on it. My swivel is supposed to arrive today also, tomorrow I will install everything if it does. The anchor is all waxed up 😂.

Looks really nice Aero!  I have no desire to go to a SS anchor, but the swivel looks interesting for sure.  I may have to check it out.

Nice!  No more anchoring for you.  It'll scratch the finish.

    SWEET!
Can't say enough about Mantus Marine equipment. Definitely over engineered.

It really is a nice looking addition.  I have wanted to swap out my anchor for SS for years but just havent been able to justify the cost.

SS anchors are not all equal. Lewmar is great - like them, function well.

I had a really nice looking SS anchor that came on our Four Winns. Always would flop over on its side. Useless piece.
It was an Azure Blue Star 22lb. Beautiful piece of crap.
Only stuck in the bottom once....must've got hooked on some debris.

I've had my mantus swivel now going on my second summer with it.  Definitely was one of the better upgrades I've done.

I’m hoping to use mine this year. After putting on last year, the crappy weather, moving and time OS resulted in little boat time and no anchoring out at all. This season…

Gents, I'm not a fan of swivels.  Seems to me to be an unnecessary weak point.  I use a Bruce plow type anchor (33 lbs) and it very rarely comes up backwards.  When it does, I just twist it a bit and no problem.  All chain rode, 110 ft.
