locking gas cap

Does anyone know what type of gas cap you can buy that will fit a Rinker 342?

Thanks in advance...

Look at Perko marine for gas caps. They might have one that fits.

If you can find something, I bet you will have to change the whole filler neck.

You can try this one. You will have to replace the deck plate for both filler necks and add a vent to the boat since it is a non-vented filler neck.https://www.perko.com/catalog/fuel_system_components/464/gas_fill_with_locking_cap_for_1-1_2_hose/

I was just thinking about this today and then saw this post. That one looks like it would work above.

Never thought about it before but I have the boat tied starboard and was just thinking now people could do funny stuff to my gas tank.

  • yes, I have recently read that people have been going to marinas and pumping out gas from peoples boat because of the fuel shortage here in GA.  so I was just woundeing if there was an easy solution for this problem.  (this has never happen to me as of yet)

So, stopped at fuel dock on Monday. Just realized my gas cap has been dangling for 2 days. Jockey forgot to reinstall.
    ‘Or somebody was stealing gas.

    Frustrating.
