An interesting thing about this forum is that a lot of us have been friends online for a very long time.  Who has been on the forum since before the current platform was set up in 2013?

Obviously, @raybo3 @Dream_Inn @Handymans342 @Michael T @Cableguy Greg @Black_Diamond @aero3113 @MarkB @Rinker232captiva @mvn ... I'm sure there are other lifers here that I didn't list.

    Hey now, you one of the cast too!😀 I actually got on before I even owned my first Rinker! I'm thinking 2005, maybe earlier.

    I have been here for too long as well. Probably 2010 or so. Back when "never a loan a again" owned the platform

    Was certainly the best boating site I found after buying the boat in 2003!  Glad/lucky the group survived after the old site went down.

    Anybody know when the original site was established?  I'm not sure when I joined.  It was after 2003 when I bought the 342, and I'm pretty sure I was on by 2007-ish.

    Crazy that it has been that long. I remember the old site and it’s issues with Walter. We do have a great group on here.

    Think I'm kinda similar, joined the old forum around 2008?? 
    Happily found the revised forum & logged in May 2013.

    Gotta say (even tho I have another boat brand now) I really enjoyed my 2 past Rinkers.
    Because of the way boats are built with many parts suppliers - it has been awesome for troubleshooting issues. 

    Pretty much learn something or remember something I've forgotten - every time I log in.

    @212rowboat is also one of the long-timers.  

    There was also a wiseguy called RinkerYan.  Total PITA, but we put up with him because he knew boats and diesels.

    I bought my 340 in the spring of 2013.  I believe I was on the old site just as it was going down.  I was so disappointed because I knew I had a lot to learn.  But then I found the new site and it has been incredibly helpful.  Whenever I seem to be struggling with an issue the first thing the admiral says "Did you check your forum?".

    Well, that's 21 and counting that have 8+ years.  I'm sure there are more, not to mention the hundreds of contributing members who have come and gone over the years. 

    For whatever reason, we've developed a culture here that loves solving problems and sharing knowledge.  Along the way, we've built this humble little owner's group into a global boating resource that probably appears in 1000 web searches every day.  Kinda cool when you think about it.

    Right now we have 8611 members. I just deleted about 200 banned members one at a time. What a PITA that was. I hope we didn't lose any when the site went through that password change about a year ago. I can fix passwords on an individual basis.
