Which part of the process are you looking for help with?
I did this on a Four Winns with the DuoProp. Unlike Merc, the Volvo shift cable is one piece right to the drive, so boat has to be out of water. The process is really easy tho as Volvo uses a tube at the transom rather than bellows to get the cable to the drive.
At the drive end you just remove the cover and unbolt the old cable. At the shifter end it’s the same, nothing complicated, just the cables are difficult to work with due to their inherent inflexibility.
yes i have the outdrive figured out....I have the 4 bolts off to remove the shifter.... but cant get to the cables.... cant access to cables. How do i remove the shifter?
