    @goalie59. Short answer: yes.  The newer Tesla’s have external speakers and audio that replicate various performance cars.

    That is an elegant solution!  No gears -- just motors and bearings.  And hydrofoils!

    They do indulge in some creativity (a.k.a. lying).  No submerged propulsion unit will have an "almost unlimited lifetime" or "outlast you and probably your kids as well."  A more accurate claim might be "every time you have to replace a pod because your huge hydrofoil wing struck a submerged log, your electric motors will still be in good condition."

    While the electric motors may last a lifetime time I doubt you'll get more than a few years out of the batteries

    For electric. Horsepower is not a good comparison. Torque would be. Zero powerband. Full torque in one second. Saw a segment on Powerboat Television. This one is impressive for a first generation. But steep pricetag also. https://www.zinboats.com/boats

    Two pods provide a 30+mph speed for a non hydrofoil boat.  That is impressive.
