310 EC - Big Orange Filter Replacement Nearly Impossible

MalloyMalloy Member Posts: 42 ✭✭
I purchased the refill for my big orange filter and had every intention of replacing the carbon media. I took about 10 minutes to even find the filter and accessing it seems to be impossible without removing the cabinet under the cockpit sink! Has anyone ever refilled their big orange? Am I missing something??

Any chance to relocate the whole thing?

I have not got that far. There is some room above the waste tank. It seems like a crazy location. I didn't know if there was a trick to accessing it.

The location made perfect sense before the deck was added I bet! =))

Which model big orange works best on the rinkers? How often are you guys having to replace the media?

I have the standard size and replace the media yearly. Of all the money I spent on my boat, this was a huge improvement and worth every cent..to not have a scent. :)

Sure rub it in... I bet you can actually access your big orange!

lol. Just making fun because I have batteries placed where you can't get at them either, so I know the pain. I did install my Big Orange myself though.
