Kholer 5kw generator

I have the kholer  5kw generator on my 342. A couple of days ago I started it up but it stopped after a few minutes. I was able to start it back up but no water is coming out of the side of the boat.This happened a couple of months ago and the impeller was bad so I changed it and it worked fine until now. I didn’t get a chance to check the impeller but will try over the next couple of days. If it is the impeller Again why would it go bad twice in a couple of months?

    There is a coupling that drives the water pump. There was a recent post on this if you search.

    Behind the water pump, look for this coupler. If you remove the plate behind the pump, it makes it easier to replace.

    Any impeller can be destroyed in a few minutes if you ingest sand or other abrasive particles.
